Honorarium Guidelines

  • Honorariums may only be used for non-employees individuals as a payment in recognition of service in the form of a special, non-recurring event for which a fee is not legally or traditionally required.
  • Honorariums cannot be paid to any business, student, or employee
  • Honorariums cannot be used to pay someone if there was an agreement that they would be paid.
  • A person may not receive more than one honorarium in a fiscal year.
  • Please submit an SAIE Freshdesk ticket (ask a business officer) in order to process an honorarium.
